Es gibt bereits zahlreiche Varianten in der Erwachsenenbildung, mit denen versucht wird, der Demografie entgegen zu wirken. Ein tool sind so genannte Beschäftigungsprojekte, die der Integration von Arbeitslosengeld II-Empfängern (kurz: ALG II-Empfängern) auf dem ersten Arbeitsmarkt dienen sollen. Ob die Integration mittels solcher Projekte erfolgreich ist, ist jedoch umstritten.
